Welcome to the official page of Blue Thunder Youth Football and Cheerleading, located in Glenwood City, Wisconsin.
Blue Thunder provides team football and cheerleading for children in grades 1-6. As a private club not affiliated with the GC School District, we welcome any child from local school districts to join our teams. We are members of the Tri-County Youth Football League (TCYFL), which includes teams from Spring Valley, Durand, and Plum City. This year, we're excited to announce a new twist to our cheerleading program by incorporating dance. Now, participants will not only cheer during games but also perform a dance routine they've created at halftime.
Our football teams are organized into three divisions: Division 1 (1st & 2nd Grade), Division 2 (3rd & 4th Grade), and Division 3 (5th & 6th Grade). All divisions play in full gear, with Division 1 playing non-tackle flag football, while Divisions 2 and 3 play tackle football.
The number of cheerleading divisions will be one or two, depending on participant enrollment.
Practices start in August, games kick off the first weekend after Labor Day, and the season runs until late September or early October. It culminates in a playoff tournament for Divisions 2 and 3.
